Rob Stultz is a native of Tennessee and now lives in Greenwood, SC. In 2010 he retired from Forrest General Hospital as Vice President of Human Resources and subsequently formed Grayson & Associates, LLC offering HR advisory services in the areas of qualified and non-qualified retirement plans, compensation plans, merger and acquisition due diligence, management training to prevent workplace discrimination, and HR Department audits. Rob has 30+ years of experience in the field of Human Resources in three industries (utilities, defense and healthcare). His 15 years of healthcare experience includes positions as Vice President of Human Resources at Parkview Health in Fort Wayne, IN and Vice President & Chief Human Resources Officer at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS. Both organizations operate as healthcare systems with multiple hospitals and workforces between 3500 and 7000 employees. Rob also has experience in the financial services industry as a stockbroker and certified financial planner. The knowledge and experience gained in the world of finance and investing have transferred to Human Resources to strengthen his ability to work more collaboratively with hospital operations and finance executives. As Vice President of Human Resources at Forrest General Hospital, Rob had functional and operational responsibility for recruitment, retention, compensation, payroll, benefits, employee health services, volunteer services, retail gift shops, organizational development, educational services, pastoral services, out-patient therapies rehabilitation (PT, OT & SP), out-patient cardiopulmonary rehabilitation, out-patient diabetes care services, and employee wellness. Rob has also served as an adjunct professor of Human Resources Management for the University of Southern Mississippi (Hattiesburg, MS), Condordia University (Fort Wayne, IN) and, currently, The University of Texas at Tyler. He holds a BA from Tennessee Wesleyan College, an MEd from the University of Georgia, the Senior Professional in Human Resources (SPHR) designation from the Society of Human Resources Management (SHRM), and CFP from the College of Financial Planning.
Tim Rotarius, Ph.D is a Professor in the Department of Health Management and Informatics at the University of Central Florida, where he has proudly served for over 20 years. His research is focused on health care finance and health care management. He has published over 80 peer-reviewed articles and has presented his research atnumerous academic and professional associations. Dr. Rotarius has a Ph.D. in health care strategic management from Texas Tech University, along with an MBA from the University of New Mexico in Albuquerque and a B.B.A. in finance from Eastern Michigan University. He also has 12 years of full-time professional financial analysis experience, including several years serving as an administrator for a multispecialty medical group.
Patricia Royal, Ed.D is Professor of Practice and serves as the Executive Director of the Executive Health Care Administration Program at the University of Texas, Tyler. She is also faculty advisor for UPD (Upsilon Phi Delta) Honor Society, and HEAL (Healthcare Executives, Administrators, and Leaders) Society. Prior to this appointment at UT Tyler, Dr. Royal was associate professor in the Department of Health Services Management and served as program director for the Health Care Administration certificate program at East Carolina University. Dr. Royal served in this appointment for ten years. She also served as assistant professor in the Department of Family Medicine at Brody School of Medicine, ECU, for seven years. Her focus was rural health and interdisciplinary education. She also held an adjunct appointment with Public Health in the Brody School of Medicine. Dr. Royal has published two textbooks and has authored or co-authored approximately 15 peer-reviewed journal articles. She has presented both nationally and internationally at various venues. Her pre-academic tenure includes health care experience in home health, hospice, and dialysis. Dr. Royal’s academic credentials include degrees in psychology (BS), social work (mental health concentration) (MSW), educational leadership (Ed.D) in addition to certifications and post graduate courses in non-profit management, counseling, and public health. She holds a North Carolina Real Estate Broker’s license and was formerly licensed as an insurance representative. She is a member of ACHE (American College of Healthcare Executives), AUPHA (Association of University Program in Health Admission), NASW (National Association of Social Workers), and ODK (Omicron Delta Kappa).
