What is a Governors
Ambassador? The
Austin Peay Governors Ambassadors are
an excellent group of students whose
purpose is to enhance the collegiate
experience, promote Austin Peay State
University and assist in beginning
to build a career network.
The Governors Ambassadors are a special
group of students chosen to represent
Austin Peay State University at
official University functions. Like
the University it represents, the
group is rich in diversity and
activity. It’s
fun and fulfilling. It is an
honor to be a Governors Ambassador,
but it’s also an obligation, a
personal promise to serve. How?
Governors Ambassadors find themselves

Co-hosting gatherings and events
Co-hosting
select departmental activities
Organizing
and participating in
community-service projects
Assisting
with new student orientation,
registration, recruitment, and family
activities
Assisting
with alumni activities and events,
as requested
Speaking
at special events, both on and off
campus, as needed to represent
APSU
Representing
the University at events on and
off campus
Volunteering
to serve as a student-recruiter
Spreading
enthusiasm and school spirit
wherever they are.
