hours thereafter (The student will be reviewed
on a semester-by-semester basis and must
maintain full-time enrollment)
-
If a student ceases to be academically eligible
for the HOPE Lottery Scholarship, the student may regain
the award one-time only. The award may be
re-established once the student meets any of the
above criteria and continues to meet
non-academic requirements
-
Must be continuously enrolled at an eligible
postsecondary institution in the fall and spring
semesters and maintain satisfactory academic
progress
Continuous Enrollment
All HOPE Lottery Scholarship recipients must
enroll at least half-time every Fall and Spring
semester.
Students must maintain their
enrollment status each semester. (Example: A student
receiving a full-time scholarship must remain enrolled
in at least 12 hours through the end of the semester. A
student receiving a part-time scholarship must remain
enrolled in at least 6 hours through the end of the
term.) A student who withdraws or who drops below the
required number of hours will lose their scholarship for
all future semesters and may be required to repay all or
a portion of the current semester's awards.
If extenuating circumstances
prevent you from meeting Continuous Enrollment
requirements, you may appeal to the Office of Student
Financial Aid and Veterans Affairs
by submitting an
appeal form, a detailed statement
regarding your circumstances, and documentation to
support your appeal.
