Health and Health Insurance
All international students are required to provide proof/record of immunization against measles, mumps and rubella (MMR) and proof of a negative tuberculosis (TB) test within the past year before registration. Students who do not have proof will be required to take the MMR shot and the TB skin test upon arrival at Austin Peay State University. There is a charge for this service.
In addition, all international non-immigrant students are required to have hospitalization insurance prior to completing registration. Students may purchase coverage through the University or provide proof of adequate coverage.
All full-time ESL students who have paid the
General Access Fee (GAF) are required to deposit $75 to cover the cost of
prescriptions and/or co-pays that would typically be charged to a degree-seeking
student's account. The deposit will be collected from new students at the
time tuition and fees are paid. The balance will be refunded to the
student when they leave the program. Students who do not wish to pay the
GAF will not have access to university health facilities
