Dual Enrollment College Credit for High School Students

Austin Peay State University offers high school juniors and seniors (completed sophomore year) an opportunity to enroll in college courses and be awarded either college credit or both high school and college credit in several different subjects.

To apply for dual enrollment courses, students must:

  1. Have earned a high school GPA of 3.2 on 4.0 scale

  2. Submit a minimum ACT Composite Score of 22 or SAT score of 1090, with ACT subscore of at least 19 (SAT 460) in math and English.

  3. Be recommended by their high school principal or guidance counselor

  4. Have parental endorsement.

  5. Complete an application for early admission and a regular application and submit an updated high school transcript each semester.  Be sure to select the dual/joint enrollment application option.

Students enrolling in a course for which college and high school credit will be earned are eligible for the dual lottery scholarship, which provides $100 per semester credit, up to $300 per term and $600 per academic year.  The application can be found at  Tennessee Dual Enrollment Grant Application.
