Blackboard, the home page.  You can create a "Behind the Blackboard" account and participate in instructional design discussions and software use.
WebCT provides a similar support link for faculty, discipline specific discussions dealing pedagogy, resources for your students can be found there.

Impatica for Blackboard is here!   You can access the information needed to download a version for our desktop. Impatica for PowerPoint simply converts the PowerPoint file into a compressed format that is optimized for streaming over the Internet. The Impatica file is typically 95% smaller than the PowerPoint HTML files. Download the install file at: \\Aplims1\Shared_Drive\Impatica

Whichever version of Lectora you want to use, you can see the software in action in a web demonstration here. Remember - Lectora is designed to interface straight to the web too.

Respondus is now available locally - build your tests in Windows based Word and load it to Blackboard or WebCT.  Download the install file at: \\Aplims1\Respondus

http://branchout.swlearning.com is a new Thompson South-Western website aligning interactive tools to transform learning

Freeware and shareware Openworld Authoring Tools.  You might want to download and test this solution...there is a free download at the bottom of the page.

Regular satellite sessions on Distance Learning - Printed materials and video tapes from PBS, Dallas Community College and other providers are available at the distance education office - 221-1014.  This resource continues to grow and has proved valuable in developing and continuing distance learning efforts.

As part of that process (funded through the American Foundation for the Blind - http://www.afb.org ), Rhode Island and Massachusetts are collaborating on a small workshop series inviting adult educators to learn more about issues of sight -- how it works, what happens when it doesn't, how to develop strategies to assist learners with low/no vision, etc. etc. You might want to take a look at the AFB site as regards accessibility and your course(s).

The Center for Academic Transformation, http://www.center.rpi.edu/, serves as a source of expertise and support for those in higher education who wish to take advantage of the capabilities of information technology to transform their academic practices.

Syllabus magazine is the only monthly publication that focuses on technology in higher education.  The magazine is available in print or electronic form.  The website stays current with the use of technology in teaching, learning, and administrative activities.  Take a look, you will enjoy it!
