Online Course
Orientation
Usernames & Passwords
Accessing
your Online Course
APSU Online courses require you to logon with a
username and password. Usernames and passwords
are assigned automatically by Austin Peay State
University. If you have trouble logging in to
your online course, feel free to email
blackboard_admin@apsu.edu.
The APSU Online courses begin according to dates
found on the APSU
Academic Calendar. Your username and
password will be activated the first day of class.
Your username and password for Blackboard will be:
- Username
Your new username
will be composed of the first initial of your
first name, followed by your full last name and
then ending in a sequence number. You must
look up this sequence number in APWeb for
Students.
Your new campus
email and Blackboard usernames are the same.
To view your username:
- Browse to APWeb
for Students (https://apweb.apsu.edu)
- Click
"Registration, Financial aid, Housing, Grades,
APmail address, etc"
- Login using your
Student ID and 4 digit PIN
- Click the "Email
Addresses/Personal Web Page" link
- Look for the "Type:
Campus Email" section. Your username is
the portion preceding the "@apmail.student.apsu.edu".
-
Example (your
sequence number may not
be 14, you must look this number up in
APWeb for
Students):
- "Type:
Campus Mail" = jsmith14@apmail.apsu.edu
- Username =
jsmith14
- Password
Your full SSN serves as your initial password.
Please type this, with no spaces, hyphens or
slashes, into the Password box of
http://onlinecourses.apsu.edu.
We ask that you
change your password as soon as possible.
You can do this by browsing to:
http://apmail.student.apsu.edu/chg_pwd/.
Remember that this will change your password for
Blackboard and for APmail.
|
|
- Always note the
case of your Username and Password Since
passwords are case sensitive, it is important to
note the case of what you type (Is it password
or PassWord?). That's the most common
mistake people make when having logon problems.
- You are
responsible for remembering your username and
password. If you forget your password, you
can change it using the "Forgot Your Password?"
link on the Blackboard login page.
- DO NOT
share your username and password.
Anyone with your username and password can
access your course AS YOU.

and have them follow these instructions:
1. Select "Student", in
the "Learning System" area, 2. Select "Reference Center", 3. Select either the html or the
Adobe file format and download the
