"Parenting and Divorce" Instructor Information

The 4-hour seminar, "Parenting and Divorce," offered by the Center for Extended and Distance Education is provided as a public service to Montgomery, Dickson, Humfries, Robertson, Stewart and Cheatham counties.  The course meets the requirements of the state's mandated training for divorcing parents of minor children.

The Center employs qualified instructors with a strong background in school counseling, social work and/or psychology to facilitate the classes.  Sessions are currently held on selected Saturday mornings in Clarksville and Dickson and on one Thursday night a month in Clarksville.  Instructors are paid $100 for each 4-hour class they teach.  Mileage to Dickson is also reimbursed for instructors driving to Dickson to teach sessions there.
