This class helps students prepare for the ACT and SAT exams with logic development, test taking strategies, study skills, practice exams and guided study to prepare for the math, language, science and writing elements.  Special focus is placed on developing techniques aimed at relieving test-taking anxiety.  The ACT class is designed to help students who have a basic knowledge of the English, mathematics, reading, and science but need assistance understanding how to take the ACT test. Students learn how to use process of elimination, read the answers for distractors, and estimate potential answers.  The class focuses on the keys to taking the test successfully and achieving a quality composite score.  Early registration discount applies.

Praxis 1 Exam Prep ONLINE..............................................................................................$95

Austin Peay State University’s Center for Extended and Distance Education is pleased to announce the launch of "Praxis I Preparation." This online course will prepare prospective teachers to pass all three parts of Praxis I.  Participants learn useful test-taking strategies, get plenty of practice test questions and have the opportunity to take full-length practice tests.

"Praxis I Preparation" is part of the Center's growing catalog of more than 300 instructor-facilitated online courses. Through well-crafted lessons, expert online instruction and interaction with fellow students, participants in these courses gain valuable knowledge at their convenience. They have the flexibility to study at their own pace combined with enough structure and support to complete the course. And they can access the classroom 24/7 from anywhere with an Internet connection.

New sessions of each course begin every month. Courses last six weeks, with two new lessons being released weekly (for a total of 12.) The courses are entirely Web-based with comprehensive lessons, quizzes, and assignments. A dedicated professional instructor facilitates every course; pacing learners, answering questions, giving feedback, and facilitating discussions.
