Licensure guidelines require students to be tested at two separate times during their academic careers. Praxis I (PSST) is required for admission into the teacher education program and must be completed prior to completion of Milestone II. Praxis II is required to complete licensure and must be completed before the completion of Milestone III.
PRAXIS I (PPST)
The traditional PPST is offered several times throughout the year at APSU.
The computer based (CBT) PPST is administered through the Prometric Testing Center in Nashville (615-860-9111) and Clarksville (931-647-2003) by appointment only.
*An undergraduate student may substitute an ACT of 22, or an SAT of 1020. Graduate students may substitute GRE scores for PRAXIS I.
The test must be less than five years old and verification of the score must be presented to the Certification Office
