following services for students with disabilities:
The Tutor
Connection -Tutoring is an effective intervention for students who
are at risk of failing or performing poorly in school. If you are
seeking tutorial assistance, the Office of
Disability Services may refer you to one of the offices that may be able to assist.
TECHNOLOGY
AVAILABLE
Alpha Smart:
Is a portable word processor with memory capabilities that can be
connected to a computer in order for your saved data to be printed.
Arkenstone Reading Machine:
Allows for on-the-spot reading. It is the ideal machine for those who
need to correct up-to-the-minute reading.
Voice Calculators:
Provides an audio output for mathematical numbers and scientific
functions.
IBM Dragon Dictate:
A powerful and discrete speech recognition system designed for the
ultimate in hands-free PC use.
Closed Caption Television:
Allows for enlargement up to 60 times the actual size.
Zoom Text:
An easy to use software program that magnifies the display of word
processors, spreadsheets, databases, online services, and more. It's
powerful features and user friendly interface allow you to get the job
done.
Other
Services:
Through our volunteer program, we provide our
students with readily available assistance. This assistance may be in
the form of a tutor, note-taker.

are there to give you the extra reinforcement you might need in
order to achieve your goals.

Note-takers
allow you to concentrate on the lecture rather than worrying if you
are writing down enough information.
