both students and instructors to help develop an awareness and promote a
better understanding of the needs of students with disabilities.

services, please arrange an appointment with one of our staff to assess
how we may best serve your needs.
Our Mission
The
Office of Disability Services is dedicated to providing academic
assistance for those students with disabilities enrolled at Austin Peay
State University. We provide information to students, faculty, staff,
and administrators about the needs of students with disabilities. We
ensure the accessibility of programs, services, and activities to
students having a disability. We are a resource of information
pertaining to disability issues and advocate a student with disabilities
participation in campus life.
Our motto is "Moving
Toward
Independence" and we promote self reliance through education and
self improvement. By assisting a student with disabilities and teaching
the student about the necessary tools needed to succeed, our office
empowers that student. Therefore, giving a student with disabilities a
greater sense of self reliance. We believe that education and promoting
