Faculty Advising Program

Academic Affairs, the Center for Teaching and Learning, and the Center for Extended and Distance Education co-sponsor the Faculty Advising Program, which recognizes the importance of excellence in advising at Austin Peay.

In exchange for a course release, the Faculty Advising Program offers an opportunity for selected faculty to study advising strategies that can enhance student success at Austin Peay. Accepted applicants meet 1-4:30 p.m. each Tuesday of the fall semester. Additional responsibilities include completing weekly assignments, participating in individual advising consultations, and delivering a professional-development workshop on a particular advising technique.

The cohort of faculty will be selected for participation in the Faculty Advising Program Fall 2013 by the Faculty Development Committee, chaired by Kay Haralson. Interested faculty members should submit the form below with a copy of their curriculum vitae to: Title III Center for Teaching and Learning, P.O. Box 4544, APSU, Clarksville, TN 37044.
