Art for Children (ages 6-10)

This course gives your youngest aspiring artist a chance to hone their artistic skills. The basics of drawing, painting, sculpting, and many other tecniques will be covered in this fun and exciting course. Be sure to make room on the family refrigerator for all of the wonderful art works to be made in this course.

Art for Teens (ages 11-17)

Time: Thursdays 6:30pm - 7:30pm

This course is designed for the middle and high school student interested in art. The course will focus on the basics similar to the Art for Children course, but tailored for the older artist. Students will learn many elements of art and the styles of famous artists as well as Art History.

Beginning Ceramics (ages 18+)

Price: $175 (8 weeks) includes materials

Time: Tuesdays 6-8pm

Learn the magical art of ceramics in this fun and rewarding course. You will learn about the basics of wheel throwing, mixing materials, and designing your own pottery. 

Advanced Ceramics (ages 18+)*

Price: $175 (8 weeks) includes materials
Instructor: Melody Shipley
Time: Thursdays 6-8pm
Location: Trahern Room 101

This course is designed for students who have previous wheel throwing experience and whose main interest is in having a fun and relaxing time while furthering their skills in clay.  We will work on wheel throwing and advanced glazing skills as well as the aesthetics of the students’ individual work.

Basic Drawing (ages 18+)

Price: $125 (8 weeks) includes materials**

Time: Tuesdays 5pm-7pm
Location: Trahern Room 402

This course will teach you the basics of design including the exploration of proportion, composition, and shading. Students will explore texture and smooth services use a variety of medium including charcoal, pencil, and pastel. This course is perfect for someone wanting to kickstart their artistic hobby or hone those basic skills. Basic Drawing is a wonderful prerequisite for Watercolors and Oil Painting. 

Watercolors (ages 18+)

Price: $125 (8 weeks) includes materials
Instructor: Tim Pafford
Time: Tuesdays 7pm-9pm
Location: Trahern Room 402

Adult learners that want to know how to draw and use watercolors will enjoy this course. The course will be tailored for each individual to their specific skill levels and interests. Look forward to creating your own works of art!
