Rachel Peters

Rachel Peters is an instructor for the Community School of the Arts.  She teaches flute lessons and directs the high school flute choir.  A graduate of Gustavus Adolphus College in Saint Peter, Minnesota, she holds a Bachelor's degree in Music Performance.  Through eleven years of private instruction, Rachel has studied under JoAnn McIntosh, Katherine Vogele, Polly Meyerding, John Samuel Roper, and Emily Sapa.  She also has experience with Lutheran Summer Music Academy, as both a student and member of the staff.  Being familiar with the Clarksville area, she is conversant with the processes of All-County, Mid-State, and Governor's Honor Bands.  Keeping up with the community, she is a regular soloist at Grace Lutheran Church and other local churches.  As a published composer, she has arranged music for strings, winds, and chamber orchestra.  Rachel is currently reviewing potential graduate school programs.
