If a particular position is not open, you are welcome to submit your information as a potential future employee.

• APSU Students wishing to instruct must submit a letter of recommendation from their direct supervising instructor. 

• Substantial experience in instruction specific to an area is required. Degrees are preferred but not required. 

Additional information for employment in the specific areas:

• MUSIC: Potential instructors will be asked to audition with the Coordinator and other faculty members on their particular instrument. Students of APSU that wish to instruct must have a letter of recommendation from their primary voice/instrument instructor. Directors for our ensembles should be prepared to present examples of past performances or equivalent experience. 
• VISUAL ARTS: Potential instructors will be asked to present examples of their work to the Coordinator and other faculty members. Students of APSU that wish to instruct must have a letter of recommendation from their primary supervisor. 
• DANCE: Potential instructors will be asked to audition with the Coordinator and other faculty members or provide examples of past performance/teaching experiences. Students of APSU that wish to instruct must have a letter of recommendation from their primary supervisor. 
• THEATER: Potential instructors will be asked to present examples of past stage and teaching experience to the Coordinator and other faculty members. Show playbills, programs, announcements, and testimonials are preferred.
• PHOTOGRAPHY: Potential instructors will be asked to present examples of their work to the Coordinator and other faculty members. Substantial knowledge in modern forms of digital photography is preferred.
• ARTS and CRAFTS: Potential instructors will be asked to present examples of their work to the Coordinator and other faculty members. A demonstration of a particular project may be required. 
• CREATIVE WRITING: Potential instructors will be asked to provide examples of their writings to the Coordinator and other faculty members. Experience in various forms of writing is preferred.
