
Edd Garcia graduated from Austin Peay State University with a B.A. in Theatre Performance and a Dance Minor in May 2012. Edd is an experienced actor having portrayed Nelson Steinberg in End Days, Manolo Costazuela in the female version of The Odd Couple, Fool in King Lear, Lewis in Pippin, Linus in You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, and many other roles. Edd has a large amount of experience with mask-work and dialect-work as well as improvisation. In the summer of 2010, he was hired as a Teaching Artist at Lexington Children's Theatre where he co-taught nine week-long classes for students ages 4-16. As a Teaching Artist, he was responsible for devising performances with his fellow teachers for the younger classes and directing and designing shows for the older ones. In 2011 Edd directed The Pied Piper for the Theatre Organization for Youth by Students or T.O.Y.S. Edd also served as President of T.O.Y.S. from May of 2010 until Spring of 2012. In the Summer of 2011 Edd wrote the script for Clarksville Children's Theatre's Catching a Litter-Bug and he has also played Barty the Bat and Ricky the Raccoon for their monthly shows at Dunbar Cave.
Edd hopes to use his free time to work with Clarksville Children's Theatre and act professionally in Nashville throughout the course of the next year. Edd loves to teach and hopes that he can cultivate a love of art and theatre in all of his students.
