Student Counseling Services

In December, 2012, Student Counseling Services sent out an online Counseling Groups Interest Survey to all APSU students who were most likely to enroll in the 2013 Spring Semester.  Based upon APSU students’ expressed group topic interests and day/time availability from the over 200 completed surveys that we got back, we developed the following 2013 Spring Semester group schedule:

Do you feel like life has been handing you a never-ending series of “To do” lists?  And while you’re generally able to handle these numerous everyday tasks (and sometimes difficulties), at the end of the day, do you have more of a feeling of relief, as opposed to a sense of satisfaction or fulfillment?  In other words, do you feel like you’re “making it,” yet at the same time, you’re not really quite sure what it is that you’re making?

Life is full of challenges, difficulties, “To do” lists, etc., but life also packed with tons of “Good Stuff”!!  As the name suggests, this support group is designed to assist you in identifying your own unique character strengths and assets, as well as practice some skills and techniques which can empower you to move beyond a merely “surviving life” mindset, toward a more enjoyable, fulfilling and personally meaningful life experience.

Facilitated by: Laszlo Stojalowsky, M.A.

Do you wonder how you will make through the semester?  Do you have too much to do and not enough hours in the day to get it done? You have found help! Come for suggestions and tips on how to deal with stress and improve your own stress management skills!
