WAPX-FM, Magic 91.9 MHz, is Austin Peay State University's noncomm ercial radio station, a broadcast service of the Department of Communication.  The station is managed by David von Palko, J. D., an award winning news broadcaster with commercial radio experience.
WAPX-FM is affiliated with the National Broadcasting Society - AERho, the Tennessee Broadcasters Association, and the Broadcast Education Association. Magic 91.9 operates 24/7 with public affairs, news and sports, and music programming serving the Clarksville and Montgomery County community. Austin Peay State University students work on-air and complete audio production assignments for public service and promotional announcements on the station.

APSU-TV/Cable Channel 99 is a broadcast service of the Department of Communication with "state of the art" digital studios and master control located in the Music and Mass Communication Building and a sports broadcasting complex in the Dunn Center.  Cable Channel 99 is available on three cable systems including CDE Lightband, Charter Communications, and U-verse throughout middle Tennessee and within Nashville metro and on to Cookeville.
APSU-TV/Cable Channel 99 offers locally-produced news, public affairs, sports broadcasts, and special events (like APSU Commencement broadcasts and high school graduation ceremonies).  Some programming is also audio and video streamed online.
APSU-TV is technically capable of producing high definition television programming and provides Broadcast Media and Media Technology Communication Arts students with an opportunity to work with the equipment on video productions starting their Freshmen year at Austin Peay.
Kathy Lee Heuston (, Department Chair, serves as the General Manager of APSU-TV, and Steve Sawyer ( is the Operations Coordinator for Cable Channel 99. Students work as directors, news, weather, and sports anchors, and technicians for Cable Channel 99 broadcasts.

The All State - APSU Student Newspaper

The All State is the student operated newspaper published by Austin Peay State University Student Publications on a weekly basis.
Students are welcome to participate in The All State's editoral and business operations.  Contact the newspaper by telephone or stop by the Morgan University Center, room 111, for position availabilities for students.
