Any research involving humans or human tissues conducted under
the auspices of Austin Peay State University must be reviewed by
the Austin Peay State University Institutional Review
Board
(APSU IRB). Research with minimal involvement of human
participants, such as surveys or questionnaires, require some
procedural APSU IRB review. Investigators are required to submit
to the College of Graduate Studies/APSU IRB a completed
"Application for Project Approval". Instructions and an
example of an Informed Consent Document are provided with the
application form.
Completed application forms in both electronic and hard copy are
due in the College of Graduate Studies/APSU IRB Office by
noon 7 days prior to the APSU IRB meeting. Electronic
copies need to be sent to
IRB@apsu.edu.
Following APSU/IRB deliberations of research protocols,
investigators will be notified in writing of the APSU/IRB
action.
