Eta Sigma Phi, The National Classics Honors Society
Eta Sigma Phi is a nationwide organization of undergraduate Classics majors who do outstanding work. Students obtain a B or better in a Greek or Latin language course, and then must maintain a 3.0 average for membership. Austin Peay’s chapter is Eta Omega. We are active in a number of campus wide activities such as GHOST Night, an alternative trick or treat night for local children, and trivia nights at the Woodward Library. Our chapter hosts an annual Classics Day for local secondary school students, and we do service projects every year as well. In the past we have hosted the Tennessee Junior Classical League State Convention.
