Description: An intellectual study of African American leaders of the 20th century including Booker T Washington, Ida B Well-Barnett, W.E.B. Dubois, James Weldon Johnson, Marcus Garvey, Mary McLeod Bethune and Charles Hamilton Houston. Focus on issues and schema of race, gender and class relative to selected subjects and their participation in mass social movements. |
