What Prerequisites do I need?

Some courses are taken in specific sequences and it is critical that students know in what order they should take their classes.

In order to take upper division business courses, you MUST complete the following prerequisites:

ENGL 1010 & 1020
ACCT 2010 & 2020
ECON 2010 & 2020
Math Requirement according to your catalog

* Students are required to have 30 hours completed before registering for ACCT 2010.

These courses are required for admission to the BBA program.  You must also have a 2.1 GPA and be junior standing to be admitted into the program.

Most upper division courses require the basic principles class as a prerequisite:

For example, MGT 3210 (Human Resource Management) cannot be taken until MGT 3010 (Principles of Management) is complete.

Business Minors (that are not Business Majors):

Since you are not a business major, the BBA admission prerequisites are not applicable, however your class standing is.  If you are a business minor and need to register for upper division business courses, please contact the Academic Advising Coordinator at 931-221-7685.

Accounting Majors:

Please remember that you must have a grade of "C" or better in ACCT 2010, 2020, and 3010.

ACCT 2010, 2020, 3010, and 3020 must be taken in that specific sequence.  All upper division Accounting courses have additional prerequisites.  To view those prerequisites, you can view the Accounting checklists.

Marketing Majors:

There is one specific class that it is crucial you know the prerequisite for.  MKT 4800 CANNOT be taken until you have completed the following courses:

MKT 3010
MKT 3210
MKT 4310
MKT 4450

Management 4810
