Free Enterprise Center for Risk Management, Insurance, & Real Estate Education

The College of Business’ Free Enterprise Center for Risk Management, Insurance, and Real Estate Education (FECRMIREE) will facilitate learning in the finance, insurance, and real estate industries.  Students will be able to identify, assess, and prioritize risk as defined in ISO 31000. Students will acquire the skills to coordinate the economical application of resources to minimize, monitor, and control the probability and/or impact of unfortunate events or to maximize the realization of opportunities.

They will examine and risk factors from uncertainty in financial markets, project failures at any phase in design, development, or production life-cycle, legal liabilities, credit risk, accidents, natural causes and disasters as well as deliberate attack from an adversary, or events of uncertain or unpredictable root-cause.  The center will also incorporate how these factors coincide with the real estate markets and insurance programs available.

The center will support the community through workshops, scholarships, and other programs and events related to risk, insurance and real estate.
