VISION
Our vision is to be recognized as the best School of Business in
our region. We will assume a position
of innovative leadership within the University through
contributing to its continued success
and growth.
MISSION
To
promote the continuous development of a learning environment,
through excellent teaching and faculty research, which
challenges students to push beyond the textbook, explore the
limits of their capabilities and discover their individual
passion.
STRATEGIC PROFILE
The School of Business is a professional school within the
College of Professional Programs and
Social Sciences. The curriculum is intended to capitalize on
students’ firm grounding in liberal
arts, as well as to establish a thorough understanding of the
relationship
between theory and practice within the business discipline.
Programs of study are regularly
reviewed in concert with a variety of constituents to explore
the appropriateness and feasibility of
new offerings. The research emphasis is primarily applied and
instructional. Such efforts are
expected to influence teaching. The School’s commitment to
service includes contributions to the
disciplines, the University, and the community, and offering
additional opportunities for enhanced instruction and
applied research.
