Course Registration

Steps for Advisement and Registration for Currently Enrolled Main Campus Students
(For the Advisement and Registration process for new, readmit, transfer, or Ft. Campbell students, see the registrar's Registration Process webpage.)

1. Read the email the registrar's office will send you right before the start of priority advising and preregistration. The email will include your advisor's name. To see the dates for the priority advising and preregistration period, check the Academic Calendar.
2. Contact your advisor to set up an advisement appointment.  If your email did not name an advisor, contact the College of Business Advising Center at 931-221-1287. An advisor is assigned once you declare your business concentration on the Change of Major, Minor, Concentration form in One Stop.  See these sites for information on concentrations and directions for the form.
3. Prepare for your advising appointment by completing the appropriate checksheet for your concentration. Check off the courses you have completed or are currently taking.  Take note of the courses listed that you should take the following semester and write those down.  Also, be aware of any prerequisites that you will need to fulfill.
4. Meet with your advisor.  Your advisor will check you as “advised” in the OneStop advising system so that you can register.  Be sure to let your advisor know which terms you are taking classes.
5. Register for classes through OneStop on the first date you may register as indicated in your priority pre-registration e-mail.
