Add-On Endorsements
In accordance with guidelines suggested by the APSU Department of
Education, the APSU Department of Biology has proposed the following policy for granting
add-on endorsements in biology:
- If the candidate has received teaching
licensure in TN in a science area other than biology (chemistry, geology, physics), the
completion of the following Add-on Biology Teaching Endorsement and passage of the NTE
biology specialty test is required:
BIOL 3060, 3070, 4080 and one course selected from each of the following series (4110,
4120, 4440 ) and (3050, 4130, 4300) 20 Hours.
- Candidates who have not obtained teaching licensure in TN in a science area will be
required to complete Distributive Major as outlined in the
current bulletin.
