Quantifying the growth response of
in managed and unmanaged stands,
Mount Rushmore National Monument, South Dakota, USA
In July 2010, student volunteers from Austin Peay State University assisted the BETR Lab in obtaining ponderosa pine samples from Mount Rushmore National Monument for the purpose of analyzing the difference in the growth response in managed and unmanaged stands.
Samples from this project are currently being analyzed. Results from this project will be presented at the 2011 Association of American Geographers annual meeting in Seattle, WA. If you have any questions regarding this project feel free to email Dr. Christopher Gentry.
