The Academic Support Center hosts the following Workshops for students, staff, and faculty. Faculty may also request a workshop be presented to their class by completing the request form. (Please note: workshops provided to classes are always provided free of charge.)

TEAS Program Schedule

The Academic Support Center has partnered with the College of Graduate to provide a series of preparation workshops for the GRE Test. Participants will receive assistance in verbal and quantitative skills. They will also review test preparation and test taking skills. The College of Graduate Studies will offer application fee waivers to participants who complete the set of workshops. The workshops are held in the Marks Building, room 112.

GRE Program Schedule

  • 29 Sep 2018: Series begins: test overview and pretest. Workshop is from 9:00 to 3:00. Lunch is provided.
  • 6 Oct 2018: Introduction to quantitative and verbal skills. Workshop is from 9:00 to 2:00. There will be a break for lunch.
  • 13 Oct 2018: Quantitative and verbal skills, part 2. Workshop is from 9:00 to 2:00. There will be a break for lunch.
  • 20 Oct 2018: Quantitative and verbal skills, part 3. Workshop is from 9:00 to 2:00. There will be a break for lunch.
  • 27 Oct 2018: Series conclusion. Workshop is from 9:00 to 3:00. There will be a short lunch break.

Registration is required for this workshop series. To register, clink on the link for Tutor Matching Service, select the "Book APSU Academic Support" button, and select the workshop. Payment for the workshop series is handeled through the Tutor Matching Service system.


The Academic Support Center is proud to partner with the Austin Peay Center at Fort Campbell to administer the Keys to Entrance Exam Preparation (KEEP) program. The KEEP program provides FREE assistance preparing for the Accuplacer placement test used at APSU. Participants can receive assistance in Math, Reading, and Writing skills. The KEEP workshops provide participants the subject knowledge and test taking skills needed to be confident when taking the entrance examination. This program is available to any person considering applying to Austin Peay State University. 


All workshops are conducted in the Austin Peay State University Building in room AP102.  The AP building is located at 203 Bastogne Ave on Fort Campbell.  Students without military affiliation can gain access to the installation through Fort Campbell Gate #4, Visitor Center for a day pass entry.  Students must present a valid driver’s license, vehicle registration, and insurance.  Those with a driver’s license from the following states will need to present a second form of ID: Kentucky, Maine, Montana and Oklahoma.


KEEP Program Schedule

For all dates offered, Math Assistance begins at 8:00. Verbal Assistance begins at 10:00.

Austin Peay State University uses the Accuplacer Test to place students in classes that match their skill level. The test is untimed and covers Math, Reading, and Writing portions. Each section includes content first-year students may encounter in their courses.
