Women's Studies co-sponsors “Room Full of Women and Girls” April 28

In conjunction with Womens History Month, the Womens Studies Program at Austin Peay State University is co-sponsoring a community event to encourage people to read books by or about notable women and girls.

The fifth annual Room Full of Women and Girls will take place 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 28, at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library.
In conjunction with Women's History Month, the Women's Studies Program at Austin Peay State University is co-sponsoring a community event to encourage people to read books by or about notable women and girls.

The fifth annual “Room Full of Women and Girls” will take place 6-7:30 p.m., Wednesday, April 28, at the Clarksville-Montgomery County Public Library.

Guests are invited to browse through exhibits of books, chat with exhibitors, apply for a library card, learn more about the Women's Studies program, enjoy dessert and learn about the participating organizations.

More than 100 people participated in last year's event, according to Dr. Jeanie Randall, president of the Clarksville branch of the American Association of University Women (AAUW) and associate professor of English at APSU.

The event is co-sponsored by APSU Women's Studies, the library, Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the Clarksville branch of the AAUW.
