Wendy's Spring Open Just Around Corner

The fifth annual Wendys Spring Open Golf Tournament is just days away.

Hosted by APSU and the Clarksville Golf Association in support of APSU athletics, the 36-hole tourney will be played Saturday (18 holes)-Sunday (18 holes), April 30-May 1, at Eastland Green Golf Course, Clarksville. It also serves as the first tournament of the year in the Mann, Smith and Cummings Tournament of Champions series.

The entry fee for the tourney will be $100, including green fees (cart not included), hole-in-one, long-drive and putting contests.

Entries are open to all amateurs and professionals. However, players must meet eligibility requirements to receive tournament-of-championship points. The first 172 paid entries will comprise the tourney field. APSU sophomore golfer Yoshio Yamamoto is the defending champion.

All entries should be mailed to the Clarksville Golf Association, P.O. Box 289, Clarksville, TN 37041-0289. Checks should be made payable to the CGA. Interested individuals can find the entry form online at http://www/apsu.edu/letsgopeay.
