Dr. Ramon Magrans, professor of Spanish at APSU, says, “One of (Alcazar's) interests is to help our nursing students have an immersion program, where they can learn medical Spanish and acquire an emergency vocabulary, as well as visit Mexican hospitals and healthcare professionals. After all, our nurses will be treating many Hispanics in their future careers.”

Universidad Internacional is one of the leading private universities in Cuernavaca, Mexico. It grew from the Centro de Estudios Bilingues y Multiculturales, where Austin Peay's Study Abroad in Mexico Program has been centered for 22 years.
