String Ensemble to include solo, trio, quartet performances

The Austin Peay State University Department of Music and the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts will present a concert featuring the APSU Strings Ensemble.

Under the direction of Dr. Alvaro Gomez, orchestra director at APSU, the concert will start at 7:30 p.m., Tuesday, Nov. 27 in the Music/Mass Communication Building Concert Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

Strings Musica Viva will include solo performances in violin and viola, a string trio performance in violin, viola and cello and a string quartet performance.

“These concerts are always very interesting and different. It's very unusual and difficult to find a concert only with strings,” Gomez said.
