The presentation, titled “Teaching, Scholarship, Service, OH MY: A Best Practice Model for Empowering New Faculty,” is a collaboration between APSU nursing faculty and the Jefferson School of Nursing at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia.

“We were asked to partner with them to conduct a symposium workshop,” Dr. Chita Farrar, director of the APSU School of Nursing, said. “I am very excited that we are able to do this collaborative activity.”

According to the abstract of the workshop, the presentation will highlight two distinct mentoring programs and examine what common features exist and lead to a best practice model.

The summit is scheduled for Sept. 29-Oct. 2 in Las Vegas, Nev.
