Representative from Universite D'Orleans in France visits APSU

Before a luncheon meeting yesterday at Austin Peay, Jean-Philippe Lhernould, associate professor of law and director of the office of international affairs, Universite DOrleans, visited Dr. Joe Filippo, APSU assistant vice president for academic affairs, Dr. Bruce Speck, vice president for academic affairs, Dr. Jim Diehr, interim dean of the college of arts and letters, Dr. Karen Sorenson, associate professor of French and director of international studies for APSU, and Dr. Culley Carson-Grefe, associate professor of French and Spanish.

Before a luncheon meeting yesterday at Austin Peay, Jean-Philippe Lhernould, associate professor of law and director of the office of international affairs, Universite D'Orleans, visited Dr. Joe Filippo, APSU assistant vice president for academic affairs, Dr. Bruce Speck, vice president for academic affairs, Dr. Jim Diehr, interim dean of the college of arts and letters, Dr. Karen Sorenson, associate professor of French and director of international studies for APSU, and Dr. Culley Carson-Grefe, associate professor of French and Spanish.

Lhernould is responsible for the study-abroad and exchange programs between his university and all North American universities.

APSU president Sherry Hoppe and the president of Universite D'Orleans signed an exchange agreement in spring 2002. Yesterday's meetings at APSU were designed to enhance relations between the two universities.
