Purchasing cutoff for FY 2003-04 is May 20

In order to facilitate the closeout of fiscal year 2003-04, the purchasing department has set Thursday, May 20, as a purchasing deadline.

That day will be your last to turn in purchasing requisitions to the purchasing department and use your departmental credit cards for FY04.

In a memo to all departments, Judy Blain, director of purchasing, and Al Irby, assistant vice president for finance, state that if your department has some critical requirements that will not fit into the above noted time frame, you can submit a request for exception to Irby.

Purchasing requisitions for which formal bids are required for goods and services to be purchased in the 2004-05 fiscal year may be submitted anytime, provided “FY 04/05” clearly is indicated on the requisition. Requisitions for the 2004-05 fiscal year should be submitted after June 14, 2004. Purchasing will start issuing 2004-05 purchase orders on Thursday, July 1, 2004.
