President search panel to meet this week

The Austin Peay State University Presidential Search Advisory Committee, charged with recommending three to five finalists for the position of president to TBR Chancellor Charles Manning, will hold its first meeting at 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 28 in the Iris Room of the Morgan University Center.

The committee, chaired by Regent Bob Thomas, is expected to reach decisions on a schedule, process and decision-making approach for the remainder of the search.
The Austin Peay State University Presidential Search Advisory Committee, charged with recommending three to five finalists for the position of president to TBR Chancellor Charles Manning, will hold its first meeting at 12:45 p.m., Wednesday, Feb. 28 in the Iris Room of the Morgan University Center.

The committee, chaired by Regent Bob Thomas, is expected to reach decisions on a schedule, process and decision-making approach for the remainder of the search.

In addition to Thomas, other members of the Tennessee Board of Regents serving on the committee are Judy Gooch, Millard Oakley, Howard Roddy and J. Stanley Rogers.

The remaining committee members are the following: Mike MacDowell, alumni representative; Dr. John Foote, faculty representative; Dr. Rebecca Glass, faculty representative; Steve Wilson, support staff representative; Dr. Charles Pinder, administrative representative; Nick Pitts, student representative; Bryan Huffman, student representative; Khandra Smalley, business and community representative; Sally Armstrong, community-at-large representative; Evans Harvill, community-at-large representative; and Dr. Phil Roe, community-at-large representative.

All meetings of the presidential search advisory committee are open to the press and the public as observers.
