Dr. Jordy Rocheleau, assistant professor of philosophy, recently returned from a National Endowment for the Humanities institute titled War and Morality: Rethinking the Just War Tradition for the 21st Century. Rocheleau was one of 25 participants in the four-week seminar held at the U. S. Naval Academy in Annapolis, Md. The seminar focused on the question of the ethical implications of Sept. 11 terrorist attacks, the risk of proliferation of weapons of mass destruction and the U.S. response.
