Tracey Kirk, academic coordinator for Veterans Upward Bound, attended the National Association of Veterans Upward Bound Project Personnel (NAVUBPP) Silver Anniversary Conference, Apr. 28-May 2, in Denver. While there, Kirk, an administrator of the Yahoo! NAVUBPP group, was elected public relations officer for the NAVUBPP through Spring 2006 and assisted with several sessions, including a workshop on “Tech and the Single Girl—Or How to Navigate Around the New Yahoo NAVUBPP Group.”
Dr. Chinyere Ogbonna-McGruder, assistant professor of public management, co-presented a paper titled “Is Criminal Justice Really Justice for All?: Special References to the 4th, 5th, 6th and 14th Amendments” with Marie Rorie April 23 at the Tennessee Political Science Association Conference, Montgomery Bell Park.
Dr. Tim Winters, associate professor of Greek and Latin, presented “100 Years of Greek Epigraphy: A Survey of Scholarship 1904-2004” on April 15 at the annual meeting of the Classical Association of the Middle, West and South. His paper was one of a series of four panels designed to give an overview of scholarship in particular areas of Classics over the last 100 years.
