Lt. Loris Ellsworth of APSU's Campus Police was reappointed to the state board of the Tennessee Incident-Based Reporting System, the group that oversees crime statistic procedures, policy and reporting practices throughout the state. Loris gained attention with the group, which is overseen by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), when she won the second annual Award of Excellence for timely and error-free crime statistic reporting.

Lt. Loris Ellsworth of APSU's Campus Police was reappointed to the state board of the Tennessee Incident-Based Reporting System, the group that oversees crime statistic procedures, policy and reporting practices throughout the state. Loris gained attention with the group, which is overseen by the Tennessee Bureau of Investigation (TBI), when she won the second annual Award of Excellence for timely and error-free crime statistic reporting.

Dr. George Pesely, associate professor of history, presented a paper titled "Kimon and Athenian Politics" at the annual meeting of the Classical Association of Canada on May 13 in Fredericton, New Brunswick.

A review of by Dr. Malcolm Muir of Francis Duncan's "Rickover: The Struggle for Excellence," released by the Naval Institute Press in 2001, was published in Technology and Culture: The Journey of Society for the History of Technology in January 2003.
