The National Association of Teachers of Singing, the major professional organization for singers, has appointed Dr. Sharon Mabry, mezzo-soprano and professor of music, to two prominent committees internationally.

She was selected to be one of six international reviewers charged with selecting the poster paper presenters for the national convention of NATS to be held in July 2008. The reviewers read abstracts and chose 14 from more than 50 candidates who will speak and/or sing at the convention.

She was selected to be one of six international reviewers charged with selecting the poster paper presenters for the national convention of NATS to be held in July 2008. The reviewers read abstracts and chose 14 from more than 50 candidates who will speak and/or sing at the convention.

Mabry also was chosen by NATS to be one of eight validity experts for the development of a national NATS pedagogy survey to be distributed by the organization to its members. The survey was sent to all members last fall with results to be presented at the national convention in July.
