Dr. Minoa D. Uffelman, assistant professor of history, presented a paper, Tomato Clubs as Salvation: Canning Clubs for Girls and the Uplift of Southern Rural Society, during a conference last weekend in Nashville.

The conference was The Work of Women in Progressive Womens Organizations in Tennessee, 1870-1930. Dr. Minoa D. Uffelman, assistant professor of history, presented a paper, “Tomato Clubs as Salvation: Canning Clubs for Girls and the Uplift of Southern Rural Society,” during a conference last weekend in Nashville.

The conference was “The Work of Women in Progressive Women's Organizations in Tennessee, 1870-1930.”
