Panel to reduce candidate list to 10-15

The Austin Peay State University Presidential Search Advisory Committee, charged with recommending three to five finalists for the position of APSU president to Tennessee Board of Regents Chancellor Charles Manning, will hold its second meeting later this week.

The meeting begins at 12:45 p.m., Thursday, March 22 in the Morgan University Center, Iris Room, according to a press release from TBR. Members of the panel will meet for lunch at noon.

The committee, chaired by Regent Bob Thomas, will consider the resumes of candidates and reduce the number for further study to 10 to 15.

The committee is searching for a new president to succeed Dr. Sherry Hoppe, who announced her retirement effective July 31.

Under the Tennessee Open Meetings Act, all meetings of the Presidential Search Advisory Committee are open to the press and the public.
