Nursing society event provides info, CEUs to healthcare workers

Austin Peay is the site for the 16th Annual Research Day, which will be held Friday, Dec. 6, in the Morgan University Center.

Sponsored by the Nu Phi chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International, the half-day event is open to healthcare providers who need or want to earn .5 continuing education units (CEUs) and includes nurses from Blanchfield Army Community Hospital and Gateway Health Systems.

The keynote speaker for the Mickey Badgett Lectureship will be Ann Ducan, MPH, RN, chair for the Tennessee Center for Nursing. Dr. Mickey Badgett, former director of the APSU School of Nursing, will be in attendance.

APSU School of Nursing undergraduate research proposals and poster presentations will be showcased.
