Music department's Wind Ensemble to perform

The Austin Peay State University Department of Music and the Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts will sponsor a faculty recital.

The Austin Peay State University Wind Ensemble will perform at 7:30 p.m., Thursday, Oct. 12 in the Music/Mass Communication Building Concert Hall. The concert is free and open to the public.

The APSU Wind Ensemble, under the direction of Dr. Gregory Wolynec, assistant professor of music, and graduate conducting students Richard Burchett, Justin Womack and Vera Fulmer will perform a concert of classic and contemporary compositions for wind and percussion instruments including Aaron Copland's well known "Fanfare for the Common Man" as well as Arnold Schoenberg's landmark Theme and Variations Op. 43a.
