Metropolitan Opera's Charles Edwin Taylor to perform Jan. 23

Austin Peay State Universitys Center of Excellence for the Creative Arts and The Marilyn Horne Foundation present Metropolitan Opera baritone Charles Edwin Taylor.

The concert will begin at 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 23, in the concert theatre of the music/mass communication building.

The concert will begin at 3 p.m., Sunday, Jan. 23, in the concert theatre of the music/mass communication building.

A 2001 winner of The Metropolitan Opera National Council Auditions, Taylor has performed in several Metropolitan Opera presentations, including “Otello,” “Rigoletto,” “Rusalka” and “Madame Butterfly.” He also has sung with the Vienna Radio Symphony Orchestra, Opera Colorado, Opera Fort Collins and Utah Festival Opera.

Concert admission is $25 for adults and $12 for students. APSU students with valid identification will be admitted at no cost.
