The lead read: “Austin Peay State University has thought of itself in bigger terms the past few years. This fall, the new attitude is paying off in a noticeably bigger school.”

Austin Peay made the front page of The Leaf-Chronicle Sept. 27 with the headline: “APSU's growth blossoms under positive thinking: Midstate's fastest-growing school foresees ever-brightening future.” The story offered comments from APSU President Sherry Hoppe and Dr. Houston Davis, associate vice president for academic affairs.
