Longtime faculty member serving as interim director of School of Education

A longtime faculty member has been appointed to serve as interim director of the School of Education at Austin Peay State University.

Dr. Carlette Hardin succeeds Dr. Phil Roberson, who resigned recently. A search for a new director will be conducted next fall.
A longtime faculty member has been appointed to serve as interim director of the School of Education at Austin Peay State University.

Dr. Carlette Hardin succeeds Dr. Phil Roberson, who resigned recently. A search for a new director will be conducted next fall.

Hardin, who has served as president of the National Association for Developmental Education, is the author of numerous books and articles. Among her books, she wrote “Effective Classroom Management: Models and Strategies for Today's Classroom,” which was published by Merrill/Prentice Hall in 2004. As a result of her expertise, Hardin makes presentations across the nation on the topic of classroom management.

Hardin earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from APSU and an Ed.D. from Vanderbilt University, Nashville. — Melony Leazer
