An Austin Peay State University faculty member has published a new book, “Classical Considerations,” with three of his former colleagues from Vanderbilt University, Nashville.

“Classical Considerations” is a collection of brief essays about various ancient authors. Dr. Tim Winters, associate professor of languages and literature who previously taught at Vanderbilt, wrote about Homer's “Iliad.”

According to the bookstore's Web site, “Reading ‘Classical Considerations' is like watching the day's news, or hearing someone tell a great personal story while sampling at the same time tidbits, here from Plato, there from Vergil or other classical authors.”

The other authors of the book are Keith Fahey, William Race and Susan Ford Wiltshire. Only Wiltshire remains on the faculty at Vanderbilt.
