The concert will feature music by jazz icon, William “Count” Basie. David Steinquest, professor of music, and APSU's Jazz Combo also will be performing.

“We have one tune titled, ‘The Chicken,' that is definitely not Basie, but a lot of fun to play and listen to,” says Steffen.

“We have a talented group of freshmen and upper classmen and have decided to do two concerts this semester.”

The second concert featuring APSU's Jazz Combo and Jazz Collegians will be Thursday, Nov. 17.

The concert is free and open to the public.
